Wholesome Beauty
The prevailing Eurocentric idea of magnificence has various effects on completely different cultures. Classical philosophy and sculptures of women and men produced in accordance with the Greek philosophers' tenets of ideal human beauty have been rediscovered in Renaissance Europe, leading to a re-adoption of what grew to become often identified as a "classical best". During the Gothic era, the classical aesthetical canon of beauty was rejected as sinful. Later, Renaissance and Humanist thinkers rejected this view, and thought of beauty to be the product of rational order and harmonious proportions.
